- Design and implement backend and/or full-stack software components based on defined business and technical requirements
- Develop and maintain software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Design, implement, and integrate RESTful and event-driven APIs
- Design and implement data persistence layers using relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), including schema design and performance optimization
- Apply clean code principles, SOLID design principles, and implement automated testing (unit and integration testing)
- Contribute to containerized and cloud-ready environments and architectures
- Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and infrastructure-as-code in collaboration with DevOps teams
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including architecture descriptions, design decisions, and setup instructions
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and development teams within agile environments
- Perform code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and development practices
- Support troubleshooting, defect analysis, and resolution of production issues
