As a CFD engineer, your role entails performing calculations from both component and system perspectives, with the aim of understanding issues related to lifespan, performance, and safety. You will work closely with designers, testing engineers, and various teams, driving development work from concept to finished product. Your tasks may include:
- Communicating and distributing your results orally and in writing in both large and small forums.
- Comparing and correlating calculation results with physical testing, and providing conclusions that guide the team.
- Continuously evaluating the possibility of better accuracy and calculation time based on new test data and software, as well as process improvements, driving method development together with your team and/or external suppliers.
- Supporting CFD calculations in the area of traction batteries with a focus on thermal conditioning to increase performance.
- Optimizing components based on test and calculation results to improve the battery's service life, efficiency, and performance.
- Supporting component validation using simulation.
- Coordinating between simulation, testing, and design.
